So I writing about branding yesterday, doing content for the Digital Squad and I remembered doing my CV and I put an image in it. I use the CV for everything and I wanted to use a recent picture but since I’ve been traveling for the last few years I didn’t have any that were of me in work clothes. All my photos were of me training or just doing travel things like wandering around.
I remember thinking I should put a professional photo up since I am putting myself forward back into the working world. It has been more than 3 years since I worked. I had a few people tell me I should put a photo of my in business casual attire but I didn’t do it, I couldn’t even if it went against the best practices they say you should follow.
The reason I don’t take pictures is I hate myself in photos and I know I can’t be alone in that. I use the boxing photo because its not professional, its memorable and it reminds me of everything I had to do to get to that point in my life where I could go and scrap and spare when I never thought I could.
It’s just that I don’t want to go back to that first pic which was a necrotic mess and in the muay thai one its just catching a breath in-between pads. It’s good to strip back all the BS and then find you can find other layers that were always there just hidden behind the noise we all surround ourselves with. That’s what it reminds of, it’s why I use it and what I hope to embody not just when training but in my every day.
So should I use a more business like photo or love or hate keep with my muay thai one, what do you think?
