MIB3 YAY or NAY?

Hmmm I am interested in Men in Black 3, I thought it was a good nice trailer. What else can you expect from Will Smith, he almost always brings it and this is a chance to see him in a comedy again which is always great, should be fun. I am cautiously optimistic and will keep an eye out for what reviews and twitter says.

Amazon Studios #WTF

Amazon has decided to kind of crowd source movies through a new company called Amazon Studios. They will be giving away $2.7 million in their first year to the best scripts to pass through the door. It is about a 21st century to foster ideas, let the cream rise to the top and see if there is a potential hit on their hands.

I love the idea because we get to see what and if some of these ideas can make it and it theoretically brings the possibility of those off the wall ideas getting another shot at being made into movies. Thanks amazon for the chance to see if I am just a hack or if I can really push the pen and paper or the keyboard or the touch screen to get an idea ready for prime time.

#Google Greenlights Crowdsourced film Project

So what are you going to be doing on July 24th, what moment will you capture to tell the world that is what this project is about by Google and Director Kevin MacDonald. All contributors will be credited as co-directors. Another amazing project that sounds like a blast. It isn’t new, this type of thing has been done before but what the hell. They are going to show of the documentary film at Sundance, how cool is that. Regardless I gotta get a camera and start figuring if I should outrageous or subtle if I decide to upload a video.

So will you take part in the “Life in a Day” project?

Here is the video from the YouTube channel:

I am inspired or at least curious, how bout you?

Summer Movie Season Comes

So the blockbuster movie season is upon us and that means time to go to see some shows.I am love a good action flick, comedy and thriller. I run from romantic comedies, will see a horror film on occasion and a good martial arts pick if there is one (and usually there is not). So this year I am looking at a couple films and here are the contenders.

In theatres Now

Kick-Ass – This one just came out and I hear it is offensive as hell, so a pure win for me.

Top 3

The Last Airbender – I loved the cartoon and can’t wait to see it come to life, hope there are some changes that make it stand apart from the source material.

Iron Man 2 – The first one was a great romp and this one looks to be the same.

Toy Story 3 – Pixar, nuff said.

TBD

Robin Hood – Last time I saw a Robin Hood film it was all about tights, hopefully this will pack some more punch, not sure if I will include it with the top 3 but I will be watching.

Shrek Forever After – The first three were great not sure I need another one, will wait to hear the reviews on this one.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time - I played the game, know the story and will wait to hear what it is like. The reason for my apprehension is game movies do not have a good track record, but I am hopeful this will break the curse.

Still getting through the rest of the summer avalanche but it should be fun, sit back, get comfy and enjoy the roller coaster.

Too Far Away

Tron Legacy – Come on it is Tron, lightcycles baby. (I admit I am a geek)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Can’t believe the end is nearing, great realized world that soon will be gone, just one more after this.
