Jane McGonigal: Gaming can make a better world

I think the potential is there for gaming to help make the world better but it is a double edged sword and we as a society must walk the line very carefully. Games can be inviting and captivating experiences I am a gamer I should know but also they are also entertainment that can take hours longer to complete. So the issues of how to manage our time the blurred lines between reality and play come into question. It is still a young medium and is not a technological industry it is an entertainment one and we need to always keep this in mind even when trying to use the medium to save the world.

Ken Robinson says schools kill creativity

I agree with cuts to the arts, but I also think that science and math benefit from those creative thinkers. Creativity comes in many forms and not just the arts. It should be something that is cultivated in every class be it biology or art. It is part of us all and can express itself in so many facets of our lives.
