How to Sketch your way to a Scholarship via Rethink Canada

Rethink Canada teamed up with Langara College to offer a future art director or designer a chance to win a two-year scholarship to Langara’s Communication and Design Program. Together they want to nurture young talent who will take the lead in transforming what communications is today and what it will be tomorrow.

So how does it work? Potential students must fill a good old black sketchbook in any way they want or to turn it into something different altogether. The book represents your ideas and creativity which is then judged to find the winner of the scholarship.

There are no limits on the width and height, it just needs to have a black cover and not exceed 250 pages. It isn’t necessarily about filling the entire book, but about the ideas within and how you present them. The deadline for submissions is July 1st, so there is still plenty of time to brainstorm and create a book that will blow those Rethinkers away.

For more information you can see the post in full here. They pick the winner based on clarity, relevance, the freshness of the thinking, quality not quantity and of course on your execution.

You can also email them if you have any concerns at questions@rethinkscholarship.com or download the submission form here, fill it out and mail your black sketchbook to:
